Archangel’s Responder app launches at International Technology Enabled Care (ITEC) Conference
Digital health firm Archangel® will be launching their industry leading “Responder” app at the forthcoming ITEC Conference (ICC, Birmingham, 18-19 March) organised by the TSA.
Targeted at health, housing and social care organisations, the app allows responders to deal with both individual and asset alarms such as SOS, fall detection and medication adherence as well as smoke, leak and mould detection in a property.
Archangel CEO Tom Morton explained: “Whenever an alarm is triggered Archangel uses the alarm type and location and pushes this to suitably qualified and available responders who are present in the area.
“The app has been designed with the end user in mind and prioritises alarms in a user-friendly way making it easy for the responder to handle the most appropriate alarm first.
“Designed to complement Archangel’s Digital ARC and Ambient Assisted Living platforms, it delivers property plus predictive and preventative care alarms. It allows users to monitor responder progress and locations, receive real-time notifications, acknowledge notifications, view location details with driving/walking directions, access a summary of received alerts and manage a queue of notifications,” added Tom.
Alarm notifications can be set up to broadcast or cascade depending on the needs of organisations.
Archangel has a strong pedigree of delivering award-winning applications including The Companion, a BS8484 integrated lone worker app that transforms any Android or Apple smartphone into a safety device. In addition, Archangel’s Freedom app features an advanced fall detection sensor, advanced location services and intelligent reporting tools to monitor the safety and wellbeing of people living independently with chronic illness within their own homes.
Tom concluded: “As we continue to develop the Responder application we encourage codesign with users, health, housing and social care organisations asked to submit feature requests collaborating in partnership with Archangel.
“Ultimately Responder delivers a better way for care,” he added.
The app works on iOS and Android smartphones. Following the launch at the ITEC Conference the app will become available for download on the Apple Store and Play Store.
